What is Baseball

Baseball can be played by everyone, no matter what the ages maybe as long as they love to play and have fun. But many people play the game or see the game but still don’t understand what this sport is all about and what statistics do player need to take.

A baseball is a bat-and-ball game being played between two teams. The team commonly has nine players each who takes turn batting and fielding. Batting is the act of facing the opposing pitcher and does everything to produce offense for one’s team. A person who turns to face the pitcher is the batter or hitter which has three main goals set in mind: to become a baserunner, drive runners home and become advance runnersalong the bases in order to let others drive home. The batting team score runs by hitting the ball thrown by a pitcher with a bat swung by the hitter. When the ball is being hit, the team should run in a counter-clockwise position around a series of four bases. A run can only be scored when a player advances around the bases and returns to home plate safely. Having the good bats is important for a safe and sound play then.

The baseball game is composed of nine innings. The team with the greater number of runs will be the winner. Baseball is a game with no game clock which means there is no certain seconds or minutes to follow in order to finish the show with a victory.
