Deepika Kumari – The Archery Queen of India

Deepika Kumari is a one of the top Archery players in around the sports world. She is one of the top sports personality of Indian women sports team. By winning the gold medal in 2012 World Cup individual archery event at Antalya, Turkey, Deepika Kumari became world no.1 in the Women’s Recurve Archery.

Deepika Kumari is a well known archer who is born on 13th Jun, 1994 in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Her father Shivnarayan Mahato by profession an auto-rickshaw driver and her mother Geeta Mahato is a nurse in Ranchi Medical College. She is finished her early education from a local school in Ranchi.

In the year of 2010 she has won the gold medal in the 2010 Delhi CGW Games. Deepika Kumari is the Indian medal hope in the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games archery event. In the year of 2012 she awarded the Arjuna Award, India’s 2nd highest sports award.
